For a hike with more diverse terrain, check out this moderately difficult, 10.3-mile loop trail in Wilder Ranch State Park. It winds through a lush forest and breaks into wide-open fields with excellent ocean views, climbing well over 1,000 ft. If you’re visiting Costanoa in the spring, it’s also a great trail for wildflower sightings.
To reach the Englesman and Enchanted Loop Trail, start at the Wilder Ranch parking lot and walk downhill. Turn left and pass through the old ranch buildings, then cross under Highway One and turn onto the Englesman Loop. You can view the full Wilder Ranch trail map here.
