Toast to the Coast

Sip local libations

A place as beautiful as NorCal’s coast practically begs to be enjoyed over a beverage. Here is where you’ll find a few of our favorite places to enjoy the locally made libations.

  • Highway 1 Brewing
You’ll be treated to incredible views and a whole lot of coastal kitsch at this roadside brewhouse. Located in Pescadero, their outdoor beer garden is dog- and kid-friendly. And their beers rotate regularly. Check out their website for their current tap list and live music calendar.
  • Beauregard Vineyards
In the towering redwood forest that surrounds Bonny Doon, Beauregard Vineyards crafts vibrant pinot noirs and sophisticated chardonnays. Their tastings, run by wine educators, feature rotating flights and occasionally small bites. Periodically, the winery hosts chef’s dinners and foragers feasts too.
  • Santa Arcangeli Family Wines
This small, family-run winery only produces 1500–2000 cases a year—and almost all of them are sold through their tasting room and wine club. At their tasting barn, located on a working goat farm in the Pescadero countryside, you can sample their elegant pinot noirs and crisp rosé. And you can pick up some fresh-made goat cheese while you’re there.
